Navigating Strategic Interactions with Imprecise Information

This research project explores how people make decisions when precise information is lacking or misinterpreted, a common challenge in real-world settings. We focus on two key drivers: ambiguity, where information is inherently vague, and cognitive limitations, where individuals struggle to process available data.

Our work covers three themes:

  • Dynamic inconsistency in decision-making
  • Communication and negotiation under ambiguity
  • Real-world implications from protests to markets

By combining theory, experiments, and empirical analysis, we aim to better understand decision-making under uncertainty and develop insights that support more effective interventions and policy design.

This project is funded by NKFI.
