Academic Writer

Academic Writer is the APA’s institution-wide platform that equips students with self-paced learning modules, reference building tools, and a guided writing center.

The Learning Center offers a library of hundreds of learning objects (including quick guides, tutorials, knowledge checks, and samples) for scaffolded support that can be used for independent learning or in course curriculum. See a demo.

The Reference Center provides expertly created templates for proper APA Style formatting of citations, regularly updated forms for emerging reference types, and options to build, store, and tag a collection of references. See a demo.

The Writing Center provides a structured and collaborative writing environment that features templated support for scholarly writing. See a demo.

JSTOR – AI-tool

The JSTOR database of archival journals has been integrated with a multi-functional, interactive, research-enhancing AI tool with the following features:

– shows related contents

– creates the summary of the article or parts of it

– makes possible of asking free questions about the content, and

– recommends further research topics.

The tool is currently running in beta, so user feedback will also help to improve it. To activate it, you need to create a personal account on JSTOR.
